YAY!

I changed the template (thanks to Lisa)!!! ;P

This probably won't stick for very long. I'm too indecisive...oh well.

Class Act

THIS makes me proud to say that I'm a Leaf fan. No matter what the outcome turned out to be, we still gave Sundin the standing ovation he deserves.

This was one of my favourite hockey games this season.

WHY? WHY? WHY?!!

(I still can't believe I actually Googled Miley Cyrus)

Well, this is officially my rant of the week.

I DO NOT, and WILL NOT understand why kids these days think it is cool to grow up a lot faster. I miss the days when we would play tag (you're it!) and soccer-baseball at recess. I miss my childhood, and feeling a sense of controlled freedom to play, laugh and dream.

Where the hell did that go?

I was incredibly creeped out and disturbed when I read that a boy in England fathered a baby at the age of 13... 13! When I was 13, I had an active account on Neopets, I read tweeny books, and I sure as hell weren't making babies!!

It saddens me to know that more and more kids are jumping on this bandwagon, and are acting like they are 10 years older than they actually are.

The bottom line is: I am disgusted, and it makes no sense to me.

A Conversation With My Dad.

This happened about 10 minutes ago...

Dad: So why did Kim go downtown today?
Me: She's having lunch with Ollie.
Dad: Why?
Me: She's going to meet Ollie's girlfriend.
Dad: *Confused face*
Me: She never met Ollie's girlfriend before...
Dad: Girlfriend?
Me: Yeah.
Dad: Does your sister have a boyfriend?
Me: No!
Dad: On the internet?
Me: No!
Dad: Why hasn't she met her before if she is her friend?
Me: No... *feels defeated* It's Ollie's GIRLFRIEND. My sister never met her before... Ollie is introducing his girlfriend to my sister.
Dad: *Blank stare*
*I give up, and leave the room*

I Heart Poladroid

I was watching "The After Show" yesterday, and Dan mentioned his love for Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP, and then revealed his own version called, DOOP.
For his first newsletter post, he posted up a link to Polardroid. Polardroid creates the dreamy, lomo style of polaroids for digital photos. I did a couple, and I thought they look pretty cool and authentic.

Who Am I to Judge But...

I can easily say that I don't have much.. actually no expertise in the dating category, but I still may never ever understand the male "Casual Dater."

Why would you want to casually date, when you can have the real deal? Are you insecure? Do you have a very short attention span? Do you have a wandering eye?

What "casual dating" means to me, is that you are afraid of commitment, and afraid that once you're on "lockdown," the relationship will never be the same. In most cases though, it won't change (besides the monogamy part). The girl just wants to know that she's being loved, and that there is some reciprocation.

We're not asking for much.

This Has Been Another Segment of, "If That's Not Weird, I Don't Know What Is."

F*cked Up's lead singer, Damian Abraham on FOX News. Need I say more?

"If musical genius were a satellite dish, I'd screw him on my roof."
BEST. QUOTE. EVER. Even if it came from a Fox News host.

I Know That It's True, It's Gonna Be a Good Year

The Walkmen recently appeared on Conan to perform "In the New Year," from their acclaimed album "You & Me," and proved why they deserve a spot on my Best of '08 list.

It's the Weekend...FINALLY!

It's been tough week for me, so I'm going try my best to have the awesomest weekend ever.
To get myself in the right mind-set, I watched a wad load of Flight of the Conchords on YouTube, and I might as well share the love.

(If you thought that wasn't funny, there's something wrong with you.)

I am No Longer an Egg Over-Easy Virgin. Let's Celebrate!

I have lot of time on my hands because of exams, and so the other day I decided to cook an egg.

I'm an expert at scrambling eggs, but I wanted to try something new...something I have wanted to make, but never really knew how to do it.

So, I whipped out the pan, and attempted (successfully) to make an egg over-easy.

With a little help from Alton Brown, I was able to make a deliciously yolk-y egg.
(I know you love my little grape garnish.)

My Weekly Issue That Needs a Tissue

What Kind of "Small," is THIS?

Srsly.

Does this look like a "small" fries to you? Normally when I eat from Wendy's, the small fries are in a small, compact little cup, but today I was startled when I saw this big fat red thing in the bag.
I'm not too sure if this is their way of "super-sizing" things, but I surely cannot finish that many fries on my own.

If they get me fat, I'm suing... and then I'll go finish the rest of the fries.

Is This Weird?

Is it weird that I feel bad for George W. Bush?

I've realized that he had the lowest approval rating on record, and that he started a war, and can't pronounce words properly, but at the end of the day, he is still human.

I think after the "shoe incident" in Iraq, I realized that I sympathize for this sadly stupid man. Just because he made A LOT OF mistakes, does not mean that he feels no remorse or regret about his decisions.

I'm trying to imagine how I would feel if I were the most hated man in the U.S., and it's not a great feeling.

Call me weird, but I feel bad for this guy.

OH-EMM-GEE

I have never ever felt this tired in my life. I'm not too sure why i'ts hitting me hard this time around, but cram time is killing me!

I feel like a lifeless soul, and I feel like I can't enjoy the perks in life at the moment. I've been forgetting things, I've been working for hours on end, and it never seems to stop.

Gaaaaaah!

I KNOW YOU MAY NEVER SEE THIS BUT...

...YOU ARE A COMPLETE DOUCHEBAG.

Your philosophical bullshi- is useless nonsense.

Goodbye My Lovely 1990 Plymouth Sundance...

It's. About. Friggin'. Time.

Tomorrow morning, I will be graced with the presence of a new car. Last week, we bought an '09 Toyota Matrix, and we will finally pick it up Saturday morning.
I have to say it's a bitter-sweet situation. Although I will finally not be embarassed by my poopie car (as I call it), I have to say goodbye to a car that I grew up in. Of course there were many issues with that car that made it a hazard to drive, but it was a part of our family for so long.

I'm sorry Sunny for your unfortunate demise. Please forgive me...especially after you're as flat as a wafer.
